Each month has its charm and considerations. May and September have long held the place of favoured months with long sunny days, spectacular sunsets and warm evenings that just need a wrap or jacket.

For those loving the sun, beach days and option of vibrant beach clubs and night life without the peak summer heat of July and August – June & September with the seasonal clubs in full swing and warmer sun and sea are ideal.

For those seeking blue skies and sunny days and the traditional Spanish life April and October are perfect.

For those with teachers or children taking exams to consider July & August often top the list.

There is no wrong time to get married here on the Costa del Sol, there is simply a time that is best suited to you, your guests and the vision you have for your wedding.

We have the privilege of working with couples based all round the world were travelling for either the initial “find your venue day” &/or “key team & tasting day” is not feasible.

While we recommend and love spending the day on each of these occasions with our couples, as both are a wonderful opportunity to spend time together and pull your vision together, they are each enjoyable and exciting but not essential.

Our planning approach from the first call is personalised. If we cannot be together in person, we ensure that videos, photos, video calls & our WhatsApp Planning Group and voice notes bridge the “in person” requirements. Ensuring you feel heard and understood and excited as we bring your wedding day to reality throughout the planning process. 

So, if this is your situation, please know we are experienced in planning everything right up to the day before meeting, without you physically ever being here. We are so proud that in each of these cases and as our wonderful couples will tell you – delivering the wedding day / weekend of their dreams.

However, …… we also know the value of spending the day together finding your venue, outlining your vision for your day and budget and hearing the things that are “must haves/not for us” for you in person.

Equally the “Team & Tasting” day is really valuable and enjoyable for those of our couples who can travel.

By this time, we have selected and secured all the key suppliers for your day, outlined your itinerary for the day and now we are down to bringing the vision together into your dream day.

It is also a really lovely memory for you to share as part of your wedding planning journey and the ideal time for our brides to have their hair &/or make up trials on the day before/after. 

Of course, if you are unable to make it or can not nominate someone to come in your place, we will of course have to sample the delights of the canapes, meal & wines to assist you make the selection to be served to your guests.

So, need…. none.

Ideally at least once more for your Team & Tasting Day, once we have your venue chosen.  

That said should you find yourself drawn to visit outside of these times, and if you can why wouldn’t you, we love to meet for an impromptu coffee and chat.

Absolutely! It all starts with the venue and we can do this digitally or ideally in person. We start with a phone call to hear your vision, numbers and budget.

Then using our intimate working knowledge of the venues, we can guide you to the ones that most suit your requirements.

Even if you know the area, it is probable that we have contacts in venues that you will not.

Equally if you have already found your venue and would value our help to take the stress away and support you in every aspect of your planning then reach out, we’d love to explore how we can help you.

We are with you from the outset, throughout the planning and during your day to ensure that every aspect that is important to you is clearly communicated to ensure you receive the service and day you are expecting on the day.

Our key team that you will be interacting with before your day are all English speaking so your personal details and requirements will be heard including; celebrants, photographers, videographers, DJ’s, florists, stylists, hair and make up artists.

There is no legal requirement for you to be in Spain for any period of time before your wedding.

If you are having a church service and would like a rehearsal, we will co-ordinate with the church to confirm when this can take place.

For those of our couples enjoying a symbolic ceremony we recommend at least a couple of days before your wedding day to unpack, settle in, have your final planning meeting with us and then relax and enjoy the sun and the final days before your wedding.  

A church wedding is possible if you are Catholic, otherwise unfortunately not.

If you would like to explore this option, we are here to support you through all the arrangements including registering your marriage at the local Registry after your wedding and ensuring your receipt of your Marriage Certificate.

We have the experience and expertise to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day and is recorded legally.

The paperwork required for a church wedding in Spain is;

• Certified copies of Official Baptismal Certificates, not older than 6 months at the time of your wedding
• Photocopies of your Birth Certificates
• Certificate of Marriage Guidance/Preparation Course
• Letter of Freedom to marry in a Catholic Church

You are welcome to bring your priest and our team will ensure all arrangements are in order to accommodate them. Alternatively, we have relationships with local English (& other languages) speaking priests and can arrange for them to conduct your service.

If you chose to have church wedding one of our team is dedicated to this aspect of your day and as a native Spaniard with a long-standing relationship with the local churches and priests will personally handle all the preparations and paperwork, additionally be present on your day and ensure all legal requirements and registration after.

Fantastic! Whether you have a clear vision with a detailed Pinterest board for each element of your day or what you think is no idea we are here to help.

We hear you where you are at and work together on each element until you are delighted with the day you have chosen.

We look at the requirements of each wedding individually, rather than the number of weddings.

While for most of our couples we are primarily supporting their wedding day planning with assistance but not attendance for their day before/after events.

For some of our couples we are planning multiple day events with each having similar planning requirements, bar the ceremony, to the wedding day itself and our attendance at all events and the days before for set up.

Therefore, we take a view of our work load each month and ensure that we can meet this and deliver an exceptional day/s to all our couples.

Understandably Marbella and the surrounding Costa del Sol area is one of Europe’s most desirable wedding locations with couples coming from all over the world to celebrate their wedding here.
