Why hire a wedding planner?
Planning a wedding can be a confronting and stressful experience. It can be a case of juggling a lot of different priorities, not only in your personal life but meeting requests from family especially can be challenging. A wedding planner is not only a great objective reference point for you to help bring your plans and ideas to life, but because we have done it before ā we can hit the ground running with what you need and deliver every efficiency in getting our job done. This essentially saves you time, money, and gives you a great sense of feeling in control in the lead up to the wedding day. Our wedding planners can take on as little or as much planning as your life demands.
What is the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator?
A wedding coordinators job entails duties on the wedding day only where the couple has take on the responsibility of all the planning in the lead up and just hands over a brief of the day to the coordinator. A wedding planner however is someone who has taken some/all of the planning responsibility off the couple in the lead up to the day and who may or may not be responsible for the successful execution of the event on the day itself as well.
How do you choose which suppliers to use?
We donāt have a generic list of suppliers that we hand out. Itās taken a long time to establish many of our vendor relationships and itās priceless intellectual property that distinguishes our service from the rest. If we need to refer a vendor to any of our clients, we first get a sense of the job brief, and budget and we match the vendors best suited to the needs of the client. We do not take kick backs or commissions.
Do I have to book everything with Weddings Services?
Definitely not. I can only recommend reliable and trustworthy suppliers I have worked with before. If you have another supplier you would like to use, this is not a problem.
Do you charge commissions?
No, we pride ourselves in achieving the cheapest possible prices for our clients. More often than not, at Weddings Services in Spain we get discounted rates from our suppliers which means you would not get cheaper prices anywhere else. Some venues do give us an āIntroducer’sĀ Feeā, but this comes from the venue and our clients pockets are not affected.
Planning your Wedding
Here are some specific answer to some of the questions that we get about planning your wedding. Be sure to contact us if there something else you would like to know.
How do I pay for suppliers?
Once you have chosen and met all your suppliers and you have chosen you wedding menu. We will send your first budget. This budget will include deposit amounts payable to secure suppliers and should be paid quite promptly to avoid disappointment.
Your final budget will inevitably change slightly by the time your wedding day arrives, as commonly final changes are made to flowers, decoration etc
A month before the wedding we will send you a final budget and you would then send the outstanding amount to a Spanish bank account. On the day we will have cash envelopes ready for all your suppliers to be paid.
Do I get to see my flowers before the big day?
We will meet with your florist before the wedding and your flower requirements will be discussed in great detail. We always suggest that you take magazine cut outs of flowers/ bouquets that you like as the florist can arrange an exact replica. Ultimately though, you wouldnāt get to see your flowers until your wedding day.
